I remember telling my mom I think I have IBS after she yelled at me for going to the bathroom after every dinner. I mostly stay awake after the first go, but sometimes I fall back asleep only to be awoken again to go to the bathroom.įor some context I’m 22F and I’ve been dealing with IBS-D symptoms for about 3 years (possibly a little more), but growing up I had plenty of episodes (mostly with my moms cooking specifically). I’ve not woken up ‘normally’ in weeks, and before this became an everyday thing it happened enough to be annoying, but not everyday. This could range from me being asleep for an hour or a handful of hours after falling asleep. I’ve been consistently getting woken up to a sudden need to go to the bathroom.
